Shoplifters Caught on Camera Attacking Convenience Store w/ CCTV
A group of shoplifters attacked a convenience store in Urdaneta City, Pangasinan although the establishment has a CCTV camera.
Nowadays, robbery has been one of the major problems not only in the Philippines but also in various regions all around the world. Some criminals have no choice but to commit crimes due to lack of job opportunities.
The Philippine government is implementing stricter policy but the crimes continue to exist behind the knowledge of the authorities. The rate of criminality continue to increase despite the stricter rules and regulations.
In the amateur video, several individuals can be seen entering the convenience store and pretends as customers. Some of them went near the cashier while a guy started to shoplift some items.
Some of the female suspects placed the canned goods inside an eco bag. The thieves nearly stole all the canned goods displayed on the shelves.
“Napag-alaman namin na iisang grupo sila kasi noong time na naglalagay sila ng gamit… ng mga items na ninanakaw nila, nakikita nila yung bawat isa. Siguro yon yung parang modus nila,” the convenience store owner named David Castro Ciano Jr. said.
Ciano also revealed that the shoplifters were trying to confuse the cashier and store employees to hide their illegal activities. He said that the suspects knew that there is a CCTV but continue to perform the crime.
“Huwag gawing normal yung pagnanakaw, alam naman nila na CCTV doon. Sana magpakita naman sila ng magandang example na sa edad nila na ‘yon, may iba pang paraan para kumita,” Ciano added.
The police authorities will investigate the incident. The cops are expected the CCTV footage to help them.
