PAGASA Releases Latest Weather for Friday (Aug 26)

The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that the Philippines will experience a fair weather condition with isolated rainshowers.

On Friday (August 26, 2022), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The Intertropical Convergence Zone and localized thunderstorms will affect the country’s weather condition.

PAGASA reported that the Intertropical Convergence Zone will be affecting Visayas. It will bring cloudy weather condition with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over Eastern Visayas and Northern Samar.

The ITCZ/localized thunderstorms will bring partly cloudy to cloudy condition with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms over the rest of Visayas, Palawan including Kalayaan Islands, and Occidental Mindoro.

Bicol Region, Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque and Romblon as well as Metro Manila and the rest of the country will experience similar weather condition.

“Cloudy skies and scattered rain showers due to the  intertropical convergence zone are expected in Eastern Visayas.  The rest of the country, including Metro Manila, will experience fair weather conditions with isolated rain showers and cloudy skies due to localized thunderstorms,” Pagasa weather specialist Ezra Bulquerin said.

The weather agency has also advised the public to take precautionary measures for possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains and during severe thunderstorms.

Over all, the country will have a fair weather condition with cloudy skies and isolated rain showers.

Meanwhile, the coastal water condition over Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao will be slight to moderate, according to the weather bureau.
