Claudine Barretto was asked about her supposed “reconciliation” with Marjorie Barretto
Optimum Star Claudine Barretto made clarifications about her viral photo with her sister Marjorie Barretto during their family’s New Year celebration.
It is known to many showbiz fans that there was a feud between Claudine and Marjorie. The youngest Barretto was able to reconcile with her Ate Gretchen Barretto, who is until now has not reconciled with Marjorie as well.
When photos of Claudine and Marjorie circulated online after that family gathering, netizens concluded that they have ended the longstanding feud between them. Back then, the Optimum star did not talk much about that event. She just said that she was happy to start the year with her family and Marjorie and her kids were also there.
In a recent interview, based on the article in the Philippine Entertainment Portal, Claudine Barretto made some clarifications. She said that the gathering was held at the house of her kuya and not at the house of Marjorie.
The actress also stressed that she and Marjorie did not interact. “So, alam mo yung, for Mom’s sake na lang yung nandoon,” she added. Claudine also said that she and Marjorie are not on good terms or on bad terms and added that they are just “civil” to each other.
“Siyempre, hindi ganoon kadali yun. Pero siyempre, malaking-malaking step yun. Ang maganda noon, naka-one step na kami for Mommy,” the Optimum Star said.
When asked if she and her niece Julia Barretto are okay now, Claudine Barretto simply said, “Nagkikita kami.” The actress said that they would see the kids of Marjorie Barretto during gatherings such as Christmas.
“Doon ako mas meron ako interaction sa mga pamangkin ko. Na parang wala lang nangyari, oo,” the actress said. She added that she is more okay with her “pamangkins” than her older sister.
