Diana Zubiri did not give up despite failed auditions
Actress Diana Zubiri recalled the time when she auditioned for Star Circle Batch 1 to 10 but she wasn’t able to get it.
Diana had a successful showbiz journey from the adult films that she did, she was able to have her transition to more serious roles that showcased her acting ability. However, starting a career in showbiz was a big challenge for her.
In a recent vlog posted on her YouTube channel, Diana shared that she started having an interest in showbiz when she was in high school. With that, she tried her luck in auditions. She shared that she auditioned for Star Magic’s talent search Star Circle.
From the first batch until the tenth, Diana Zubiri revealed that she failed to be included. “Aaminin ko po, simula Star Circle 1 hanggang 10, ako po ay nag-apply, pero naligwak ang lola niyo, pero okay lang naman,” the actress shared.
She added that she used to go to ABS-CBN shows frequently with the hope to be discovered. With those failed auditions, Diana said that after high school she will stop pursuing her dream to be in showbiz.
When she was processing her visa for Japan, Diana was discovered and was hired by Seiko Films. However, she had to do adult movies. At first, she hesitated because she thought that she can’t do it and her mother was against it also.
Diana realized that being in showbiz was not that easy. Later on, she became a household name when she became a semi-regular host in Eat Bulaga. At that time, she also did her controversial pictorial along Edsa-Shaw.
Amid that controversy, Diana Zubiri became part of Bubble Gang. Eventually, she was given the showbiz break that she needed to boost her career and that was the role of Danaya in Encantadia.
