PAGASA Says Southwest Monsoon & Localized Thunderstorms (August 13, 2022)

The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that the southwest monsoon and localized thunderstorms will bring isolated rains over some parts of the country.

On Saturday (August 13, 2022), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The southwest monsoon and localized thunderstorms will affect the country’s weather condition.

PAGASA reported that the Localized Thunderstorms will be affecting Mindanao. Southwest Monsoon will be affecting the western section of Southern Luzon.

The Localized Thunderstorms will bring partly cloudy to cloudy weather condition with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms over Mindanao.

The Southwest Monsoon/Localized Thunderstorms will bring similar weather condition over entire Visayas, Palawan including Kalayaan Islands, Occidental Mindoro, Bicol Region, Northern Samar, Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque and Romblon as well as Metro Manila and the rest of the country.

The weather agency has advised the residents in the affected areas to take precautionary measures for possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, the coastal water condition over western section of Luzon and the remaining parts of the country will be slight to moderate, according to the weather bureau.
