Disappointed Motorist Found Violation Record in Iloilo Although He Never Visited the Province

A certain motorist discovered that he has a violation record in Iloilo although he never used a motorcycle and never visited the province.

A motorist named Leonyl Salvador was supposed to renew his driver’s license and discovered that he had a record for motorcycle violations in Iloilo after checking his account at the Land Transportation Management System (LTMS).

His supposed traffic violation has been recorded in 2018 but explained that he never used a motorcycle and he never visited the province. The driver even questioned the agency regarding the incident.

“Pagtingin ko doon sa violation ko from Iloilo raw, Region 6. Never ako napunta sa Iloilo. At sabi pa doon, motor ang gamit ko. Eh never din ako nag-motor at hindi rin ako marunong mag-motor. Questionable po yung nangyari. Paano nangyari yun?” Salvador said.

The disappointed driver revealed that his violation is due to the driver or his companion’s failure to wear a standard helmet. Leonyl has been charged with suspension of license for six months and a fine worth P1, 500 for the violation.

The latter reported his concern to LTO Region 6 but failed to receive immediate action. He decided to seek help from LTO Law Enforcement Service to address his concern and clear his records.

“Tinawagan namin sila kahapon. Ang sabi sa ‘kin brownout daw sa kanila so hindi nila makikita ‘yung files. Kanina naman nung nagfollow-up kami, offline raw yung system nila. Noong hapon, nagfollow-up kami. Imi-meeting pa sa head nila. ‘Yung process is sobrang haba tsaka walang nangyayari,” Salvador added.
