Car Driver Calls Out LTO Apprehending Officer for Accusing Him of “No Spare Tire” Violation

A disappointed car driver has lambasted an LTO officer who apprehended and accused him of an alleged “No Spare Tire” violation.

The Land Transportation Office is an agency of the Philippine government under the Department of Transportation responsible for all land transportation in the Philippines.

LTO officers are authorized to apprehend motorists who will commit traffic violations. However, they should implement traffic rules and regulations with love, respect, and consideration towards others.

A Facebook user named JD Limcauco has shared the photo of a violation ticket issued to him by an LTO apprehending officer over an alleged violation. The photo circulates online and elicits comments from social media users.

In the photo, it can be seen that Limcauco is showing the ticket given to him by an LTO officer. The enforcer allegedly accused him of having ‘no spare tire’ although he had one. However, he explained that he has a spare tire.

The traffic personnel claimed that his spare tire is not compatible with his wheels. He expressed his disappointment in the incident knowing that his spare tire is compatible with his current wheel.

The incident reportedly happened along Binmaley Pangasinan. The latter also tagged popular social media pages including LTO, Raffy Tulfo on Action, Department of Transportation as well as RSAP, and other groups.

The video has a caption:

“Shout out po sa LTO apprehending officer dito sa Binmaley Pangasinan. No spare tire daw ang violation ko at ang sabi hindi daw pwede yung spare tire ko, not compatible daw po.  ”
