Shakey’s Philippines answered the complaint from Julius Babao
News anchor Julius Babao shared a video showing that the pizza delivered to them has a plastic sheet on it and Shakey’s Philippines has this statement on this matter.
Through his Facebook Page, the journalist shared that he was wondering why it was difficult for him to slice the pizza that they ordered. He found out that there was a plastic sheet in between the dough and the toppings.
“Nako, ano ba yan, Shakey’s. Anong nangyayari sa inyo?” Julius said in his video. On August 8, the pizza company released a statement as an answer to this complaint from the news anchor.
Shakey’s Philippines said that it is thankful that Julius Babao called their attention. The company is also acknowledging that it made a mistake and they see this situation as an opportunity to improve its service.
It also said that complaints from customers are being taken seriously. After this situation was brought up, Shakey’s PH immediately reached out to Julius who accepted the re-delivery offer from the company. “We acknowledge Mr. Babao’s concern for our staff and appreciate his kind consideration,” the company said.
Shakey’s PH also explained what happened to the pizza with a plastic sheet. The said sheet are being placed between doughs in order for them not to stick while stacking. Unfortunately, a staff member of the pizza company forgot to take the plastic sheet when the toppings were placed.
The company also stated that it is currently doing a fair investigation to understand what exactly has happened. Shakey’s also thanked their guests who have shown support amid this issue. It also stressed that the company is always assuring quality, safety, and guest satisfaction.
The issue that was brought up by Julius Babao will also prompt Shakey’s Philippines to reinforce its training, systems, and procedures to prevent this kind of situation to happen again.
