This is what Andrew Ramsay said to the talks of people about him not looking like Derek Ramsay, his brother.
DEREK RAMSAY – Famous actor leading man Derek Ramsay has a brother, Andrew Ramsay, but they accordingly don’t look similar.
Andrew Ramsay is the youngest sibling of Derek Ramsay and he is also an actor. He is a part of the team behind Living in the Dead of Night and also plays a role in this project. He is also the lead actor in the 2022 Cinemalaya Film Festival entry, Ginhawa.
It was really his dream to become an actor. He did theater when he was just in high school. His passion led him to England and studied Shakespeare. He then stepped foot into Los Angeles and did some theater shows and some auditions.
Now, when asked about their not-so-obvious similarities when it comes to their physical traits, he joked, “Yeah, look at the mole.”
When it comes to acting, he believes that he and his brother are both doing well in their respective genres. He has his own identity and he doesn’t want to be just hastily recognized as the brother of Derek.
In a report from PEP, he said that Derek is so supportive of his career. He gave him tips and for him, the best advice he has gotten from him is: “He always tells me na just take a breather, take a step back, huwag kang mag-overthink sa mga scripts. And he said just be myself.”
Meanwhile, in a previous article, the actor remains on acting hiatus because he pursues something out of his passion for building and designing homes. He has also accepted the reality that he already had his time being the people’s favorite leading man.
He is aware that there’s always someone better and there will always be actors who will do better than what he did. And considering the short attention span of the people now, he also accepted that some might have grown tired of him.
For now, his focus is on something else and he intends to squeeze out money from what he started.
