Here’s what Derek Ramsay said when asked about his future projects.
DEREK RAMSAY – It seems like after three years of being a Kapuso actor, Derek Ramsay will finally retire from his job as an artist.
As an actor, Derek Ramsay has definitely shown people his worth. He is a top leading man and has graced several hit films. Among his famous movies are And I Love You So, I Love You Goodbye, No Other Woman, Corazon: Ang Unang Aswang, A Secret Affair, Trophy Wife, Ex With Benefits, All You Need Is Pag-Ibig, The Escort, The Girl In The Orange Dress, and many more.
He is married to actress Ellen Adarna. They just tied the knot last December in a wedding held privately and intimately. Before he settled down, he lay low in his showbiz career. To recall, it was in 2019 when he signed an exclusive contract with the GMA network, and just this year, based on a previous article, he revealed that his contract got suspended. He said, “Freeze, suspended, it’s more like it.”
This is accordingly because he is not ready to do lock-in shooting considering the threats of coronavirus. He is concerned because he has his parents with him in his house and for now, he wanted to prioritize his family. He added, “So, naintindihan naman ng GMA yun, they respected my decision. So, nag-decide kami na i-suspend muna yung kontrata na ready na ako magtrabaho when I feel na it’s safe na to work.”
He can come back anytime and be lined up for a drama project but just recently when a fan of him asked about his upcoming projects, he expressed an intriguing answer: “retired”. Is he retiring soon or has he retired already?
