Willie Revillame wants to remain on primetime
Veteran TV host Willie Revillame will not compete against Vic Sotto, one of the main hosts of Eat Bulaga, and It’s Showtime’s main host Vice Ganda.
The noontime show that is airing on GMA has been in the industry for over 40 years now while the Kapamilya noontime show started more than a decade ago. Now that Willie is collaborating with AMBS, speculations surfaced that he will go back to the noontime slot.
His game show Wowowin is the first confirmed show that will be aired to the new network owned by business tycoon Manny Villar. In previous years, Willie Revillame has been hosting different noontime shows.
However, veteran entertainment columnist Cristy Fermin, one of the closest friends of Kuya Wil in showbiz, said that the Wowowin host wants to retain his show on primetime. “Nilinaw niya, akala kasi ng marami, noontime show pa rin ‘yung kay Willie — ‘yung Wowowi,.” Cristy shared, based on the article in NewsKo.
This means that he does not intend his show to compete with the noontime show of the Kapuso and Kapamilya network. “Hindi. Iiwas siya. Tulad ng kaniyang sinabi, primetime siya,” the veteran showbiz writer added.
Cristy also said that actress-host Toni Gonzaga might the one who will compete against Bossing Vic Sotto and Vice Ganda. To recall, the veteran showbiz writer said in a previous episode of her show that the wife of director Paul Soriano is set to have two shows on AMBS.
However, as of this writing, there is no confirmation yet coming from the camp of Toni. Previously, Willie Revillame also mentioned that they are still on the process of conceptualizing the shows for the new network and finding talents. He has not given any names of celebrities yet who will be part of AMBS.
