Willie Revillame talked about the initial programming that they will do for AMBS
Veteran TV host Willie Revillame shared what they are looking for in artists who will be part of AMBS 2, the TV network of business tycoon Manny Villar.
Willie has confirmed previously that his game show Wowowin will be aired on the new network that is set to be launched on October 1. Aside from being a host, Kuya Wil is also working hand in hand with AMBS President Maribeth Tolentino in planning the lineup of their shows.
In a recent interview, the veteran TV host admitted that they still have to do a lot of things when it comes to programs that will be aired on their network. As of now, based on the article in Inquirer, their focus is on variety game shows.
“We won’t have drama series yet; we’re not yet ready for that. Puro saya lang muna, more on games, prizes,” Willie Revillame shared. They are still in the process of finding artists for their shows. Good thing that they were able to have a partnership with Boss Vic del Rosario, the head of Viva Entertainment.
Through this collaboration, it would be easy for AMBS to tap with Viva for the artists needed in certain shows. However, Kuya Wil stressed that they are also open to collaborating with other talent management firms.
When asked about the aspect that would attract artists to join their network, the AMBS 2 President host said that their advantage is that they are new and with this, they can “explore or experiment with new ideas that haven’t been done by others.”
Then, Willie Revillame was asked what he is looking for in artists who will join them. “I want someone who will own his show; someone who interacts with his staff, someone who’s involved,” the Wowowin host said. He also said that they also want someone who is liked by the viewers. “We need big names, but we also want to provide a platform for young new actors and performers,” he added.
