Video of Water Tank in Nueva Ecija That Collapsed Due to Powerful Quake Goes Viral

The video footage of a water tank in Nueva Ecija that suddenly collapsed during the powerful earthquake goes viral online.

On Wednesday (July 27, 2022), the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) recorded a magnitude 7.3 quake in Abra. The tremor occurs at 17.63° North, 120.74°East – 002 km North 20° East of Lagangilang.

The strong tremor causes severe shaking of the ground, which causes damage to numerous houses and establishments in the province. Metro Manila and its nearby areas also felt the shaking.

The quake has been followed by several aftershocks. Phivolcs Director Renato Solidum warned the public of possible landslides and aftershocks as well as cracks on the ground.

The Facebook page “SIRBISU Channel” has shared the video footage of a water tank that suddenly collapsed during the powerful earthquake. The video goes viral and garnered various reactions from the online community.

In the video, it can be seen that the water tank is shaking during the powerful earthquake in San Leonardo, Nueva Ecija. The tank continued to shake for a couple of seconds until it suddenly collapsed due to the quake,

The water from the tank spilled on the ground resulting in a chaotic scenery in the area. The tank supplies water in Barangay San Anton.

The video has a caption of:

“Nakuhanan ng video ang paggalaw ng tangke ng tubig hanggang sa bumagsak ito dahil sa malakas na lindol na naramdaman sa San Leonardo, Nueva Ecija Miyerkoles. Ang tangke ito ang nagsusuplay ng tubig sa barangay San Anton”
