Here are some things to know about Sam Coloso, the first grand winner of a Showtime segment.
SAM COLOSO – ‘Showtime’s S. Babe’ grand winner is Sam Coloso from Paranaque and here are some things about her.
The finale of the “Its Showtime” segment “Sexy Babe” was held on Saturday and at the same time, the first grand winner of the segment has been named. The one who stood out among the nine other finalists is the 23-year-old beauty Parañaque Sam Coloso.
She won the title and the other prizes that came along with her win are Php 500,000.00 cash prize, a negosyo package worth Php 150,000.00, and a jewelry set from Manila Diamond Studio.
In the competition, the one who asked her was Annabelle Rama and during the question-and-answer portion, she was asked about the possible lessons the older generation must know about today’s nubility.
Her winning answer is:
“Siguro ang dapat matutunan ng inyong henerasyon sa image of beauty is there is no standard anymore. We set that standard for ourselves. Noon, pina-follow natin ’yung dating beauty standards na kailangan natin magpaputi, na kailangan natin magpaliit ng waist. But this time, beauty is diverse. And everyone is beautiful and accepted. Just be secured with yourself and that’s when you know na hindi mo kailangan tumingin sa kakulangan ng iba.”
She stressed that the beauty of today requires no standard anymore. The beauty comes with security and acceptance.
Apart from Rama, actor Jake Cuenca, Miss International Queen 2022 Fuschia Anne Ravena, racing driver Marlon Stockinger, PBA player Shaun Ildefonso, fashion designer Michael Leyva, and mainstay judge Ruffa Gutierrez are the judges of the finale.
Meanwhile, Coloso, as seen on her Instagram, is not a newbie in joining beauty pageants. She was Ms. (Mapua University) Cardinals 2018 and Ms. Face of Beauty-Philippines 2019. She was also a former candidate for the Miss Earth Philippines pageant.
Perhaps, her experience in the pageantry became a lot of help for her to stand out in this segment of the noontime show. Many people also see how well-deserving she is of the title.
