PAGASA Releases Latest Weather Update for Wednesday (July 20)
The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that the entire country will experience a fair weather condition with possible rain showers.
On Wednesday (July 20, 2022), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) released the latest weather update in the country. The monsoon break will prevail and habagat will not affect the country’s weather condition.
PAGASA reported that the Ridge of High Pressure Area (HPA) will be extending over Northern and Central Luzon. The localized thunderstorms will be affecting Mindanao.
The Ridge of HPA / Localized Thunderstorms will bring partly cloudy to cloudy weather condition with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms over Batanes, Cagayan, Isabela, Quirino, Nueva Vizcaya, Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union, Pangasinan, Abra, Apayao, Kalinga, Mt. Province, Ifugao, Benguet and Aurora.
The localized thunderstorms will also bring similar weather condition over Bicol region, Northern Samar, Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque and Romblon as well as Mindanao.
Pagasa weather specialist Aldczar Aurelio said that the monsoon break will prevail and the southwest monsoon will not affect the country’s weather condition within the next few days.
“Sa araw na ito, inaasahan natin ang mas magandang panahon kumpara kahapon sa Luzon. Inaasahan natin ang isolated na pag-ulan o mga biglaang buhos ng ulan dulot ng thunderstorm sa hapon o gabi,” Aurelio said.
However, the weather agency has warned the public for possible flash floods or landslides in rain-affected areas. Visayas and Mindanao will also experience a good weather with a chance of isolated rains.
Meanwhile, the coastal water conditions over the entire country will be slight to moderate, according to the weather bureau.
