16 Individuals in Tondo, Manila Get Hospitalized After Eating “Mami” Bought From Neighbor
16 individuals get hospitalized after allegedly eating “Mami” or noodles they have bought from their neighbor in Tondo, Manila.
The CCTV footage taken at a certain barangay in Tondo, Manila shows the residents having a commotion at Callejon-E Street, Gagalangin. Two kids suffered from severe stomach aches and dizziness. The two have been brought to the hospital.
According to barangay kagawad who responded to the incident, the victims reportedly suffered from food poisoning after eating chicken ‘mami’ being sold in the area. The victims suffered from dizziness and vomiting.
The 16 victims have been rushed to various hospitals such as Tondo General Hospital, Jose Reyes Memorial Medical Center, and Chinese General Hospital. The ‘mami’ vendor and its partner have been brought to the hospital.
The mami vendor’s mom did not expect the incident because they were observing cleanliness in the kitchen for 20 years. The vendor is also willing to face the complaints that will be charged against them.
“Yun ang sinasabi nila kumain sila lahat ng mami at maging siya rin po ay nandito rin siya sa kabilang ward, tinikman din po niya at ang asawa niya. Ayon sa kwento ng anak ko wala naman siyang ibang halo dahil almost 20 years na siyang nagtitinda po niyan,” Aner Dela Vega said.
Currently, the victims who suffered food poisoning were recuperating at the hospital. The police authorities are investigating the incident.
