Miss Earth Philippines Disqualifies 3 Candidates, Here’s Why

Three candidates for Miss Earth Philippines have been disqualified and this is the reason behind this.

MISS EARTH PHILIPPINES – Angela Okol, Cess Cruz, and Renee Sta. Teresa have been disqualified from the pageant because of this reason.

Naelah Alshorbaji is the reigning Miss Philippines Earth 2021 queen. In the international scheme, she finished her journey in the Top 8 finalist which tells that she gave a quite good fight. Over 80 candidates competed but USA’s Lindsey Coffey won the prestigious pageant’s first virtual coronation.

The other winners of the Miss Earth 2021 pageant are:

Miss Fire 2021 Miss Thailand – Baitong Jareerat Petsom
Miss Water 2021 Miss Chile – Romina Denecken van der Veen
Miss Earth Air 2021 Miss USA – Marisa Butler

And now, as the new edition of the competition in the local pageantry has started, three candidates got heartbroken upon knowing their disqualification. Those who got disqualified are designer Angela Okol, singer-model Cess Cruz, and model Renee Sta. Teresa.

These three were pulled out of the competition because they failed to reach the height requirement which is five-foot-four. It was a surprise twist in their aspiration to be beauty queens and it really did break their hearts.

MPE organizer Lorraine Schuck said that the organization stands by its decision to stick to the standard it has been following for 22 years now. Schuck said based on a report from ABS-CBN, “I am sad at nakakahinayang talaga kasi ang gaganda nila and they’re bright but we also have to be fair with other candidates who have complied with the requirements.”

Meanwhile, the final top 20 candidates will be announced on Friday night and the coronation night will be on August 6 which will be held in Coron, Palawan.
