Naelah Alshorbaji Finishes Top 8 In Miss Earth 2021 Tilt
PHILIPPINE BET NAELA ALSHORBAJI – Filipina-Syrian beauty queen Naelah Alshorbaji ended her Miss Earth 2021 journey at the top 8.
Over 80 candidates participated in this year’s Miss Earth. USA’s Lindsey Coffey won the prestigious pageant’s first virtual coronation in 2020. The 23-year-old Filipino-Syrian model, Naela Alshorbaji represented the Philippines in this year’s pageant.
The country will have to wait for another chance to win the crown as the candidate from Belize named Destiny Wagner won the title this year. This is the first time that the Caribbean country won top honors in an international pageant.
Naela Alshorbaji ended her journey as among the top 8. The pageant was held virtually. Even with her stint cut short, she represented her country by winning gold for the long-gown pre-pageant competition.

During the Q&A portion of the top 8 finalists, the beauty queens were asked to expound on the phrase or word given by the host. Alshorbaji’s word was “focus.”
The Pinay beauty queen highlighted the need to focus on the environmental issues in the world. She ended her answer with the question, “how can you be the change?”
On IG, Naela Alshorbaji announced the news on Sunday, November 21, with a post reflecting her Miss Earth 2021 journey. She wrote, “I was answering a question during my training which was ‘What is a winner or what is winning to you?’”
“Regardless if I win or lose, I would consider myself a winner because I learned and became a better person coming out of the situation,” she added.
The Philippines currently has 4 Miss Earth winners: Karla Henry (2008), Jamie Herrell (2014), Angela Ong (2015), and Karen Ibasco (2017).
