2 Other Suspects Involved in Beating MMDA Officers Surrendered to Police Authorities

The two other suspects involved on beating MMDA officers in Pasay City have surrendered to the police authorities.

A few weeks ago, the video of an intense commotion between a group of male residents and MMDA enforcers at Taft MRT in Pasay City becomes the headlines of various local news outlets and social media pages.

The group of e-bike drivers mauled the MMDA officers while conducting a clearing operation in the area.

The commotion starts after the enforcers apprehended an e-trike driver and impounded his vehicle for committing a traffic violation. The e-bike drivers tried to remove the trike from the tow truck but the enforcers stop them, which leads to an intense fight.

MMDA Officers

The officers were able to stop the commotion but some of the suspects were able to escape. MMDA was also able to locate two of the suspects who have been identified as Jose Zabala and Adrian Nidua.

Recently, Pasay City Police reported that the two other suspects involved in beating MMDA officers in Pasay City were currently under their custody. The suspects voluntarily surrendered to the police station on Tuesday (July 12, 2022).

The cops are still searching for eight other suspects involved in the incident. One of the suspects admitted his mistakes and confessed that he beat an MMDA personnel during a clearing operation.
