MMDA Enforcers Apprehend Driver of Illegally Parked Vehicle, Driver Argues w/ Them

The driver of an illegally parked vehicle having an exchange of heated arguments with MMDA enforcers elicits reactions online.

The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority is an agency of the Republic of the Philippines implementing the planning, monitoring and coordinative functions along the road concerning purely local matters.

The agency covers the cities of Manila, Quezon City, Caloocan, Pasay, Mandaluyong, Makati, Pasig, Marikina, Muntinlupa, Las Piñas, Parañaque, Valenzuela, Malabon, Taguig, Navotas and San Juan and the municipality of Pateros.

Illegally Parked Vehicle

The Facebook page “Gadget Addict” ha shared the video footage of a traffic violator having an argument with MMDA enforcers. The video footage goes viral and garnered various reactions from the online community.

In the video, it can be seen that the MMDA enforcers confronted a vehicle driver for committing a traffic violation “Illegal parking”. However, the driver refused to get out of his vehicle.

The driver even disrespected the road officer for closing his door during the apprehension. The latter also failed to present his driver’s license and argued with the traffic enforcers who tried to tow his car.

After a few moments, a man in a black shirt carrying a baseball bat arrived. Eventually, the driver talked with the traffic officers and let them tow his car.

“Nang simulang sulatan ng tiket ang sasakyang ito dahil sa ilegal na pagparada, tsaka lumabas ang driver at tinangkang ilipat ito.

Hiningan ng lisensya ang driver, pero wala siyang mabigay. Nagresulta ito sa pagrequest ng tow truck.

Nang umpisahan naman ang pag-tow, tsaka pa lang tinangka ng driver magbigay ng kanyang lisensya. Pero huli na ang lahat.

Kasabay ng mga pangyayari, lumabas ang isa pang lalaking may hawak na baseball bat. Sinabi niyang pagmamay-ari niya ang sasakyan.

Ang simpleng paghuli sa mga ilegal na nakaparada ay bahagi ng MMDA operation sa Parañaque, base sa reklamong dinaan sa 8888”
