RUFFA GUTIERREZ – Here’s the reaction of actress Ruffa Gutierrez to Senator Robin Padilla’s divorce bill.
Filipina model, actress, host, and beauty queen Ruffa Gutierrez is the daughter of talent manager Annabelle Rama and veteran actor Eddie Gutierrez. She has 7 brothers named Richard, Raymond, Tonton, Ramon, Elvis, Rocky, and Ritchie Paul.
Ruffa has two daughters named Lorin and Venice with her ex-husband Yilmaz Bektas. Her daughters recently got reunited with their dad in Istanbul, Turkey after 15 years. She remains single until now but is romantically linked with Senator Herbert Bautista.
Recently, Ruffa Gutierrez reacted to the bill filed by actor-turned-politician Senator Robin Padilla. The newbie legislator proposed a measure to legalize divorce in the country. He said it is not meant to destroy marriage but to protect victims of broken relationships.
In her Twitter post, Ruffa considers Robin’s divorce bill as the best news. She also added the hashtag #YesToDivorce.
Today, divorce is only illegal in two states; the Vatican City and the Philippines. If Robin’s bill will be approved and passed into law, it will consider the “incapacity of either spouse to perform essential marital obligations” as one of the grounds for divorce.

It isn’t clear why the 48-year-old former beauty queen is all for divorce law in the country, though it can be recalled that she also filed to have her marriage with Yilmaz dissolved through divorce.
“Best news ever!! #YesToDivorce,” she wrote in her tweet.
Based on a report from Maharlika TV, among the grounds stated in the newbie legislator’s bill are irreconcilable differences, incapacity of either spouse to perform essential marital obligations, having a child with another person, and VAWC conviction.
“Wala tayong sinisirang pamilya. Pinroproteksyunan natin ang hindi magkasundo,” Robin said.
