Update on Pres. Bongbong Marcos’ Condition amid Fight against COVID

BONGBONG MARCOS – The President’s physician, Doctor Samuel Zacate, check on his condition amid his fight against COVID-19.

Less than two (2) weeks since Pres. Bongbong Marcos assumed office, the 64-year-old Chief Executive of the Philippines contracted COVID-19. This is his second battle against the virus that brought pandemic to several nations across the globe and cost millions of lives.

During the first months of the pandemic, Marcos Jr. was one of the high-profile politicians who contracted the virus. It took him several weeks to recover and his situation was quite not known to the people then until he recovered.

Recently, Malacañang announced that Pres. Bongbong Marcos Jr. tested positive for COVID-19 in an antigen test anew. Then, he was reported to have mild symptoms including a slight fever.

Following the inauguration of Marcos Jr., the First Family decided to stay in Bahay Pangarap. According to the health authorities, the President will be in isolation for seven days since he tested positive for the virus.

Recently, Pres. Bongbong Marcos’ doctor visited him to check on the condition of the Chief Executive. Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, according to press secretary Trixie Cruz-Angeles, Marcos Jr.’s lead physician Dr. Samuel Zacate said that the President’s condition greatly improved.

Dr. Zacate noted that there is no inflammation in the throat of the President and there’s “no sign of respiratory distress or pneumonia. According to Angeles, the doctor expressed that the President is doing well and “very much in stable condition”.

Citing the latest health bulletin of the President, based on the report, Marcos Jr.’s vital signs are within the range of normal and he will undergo further necessary laboratory examination. He is under the close monitoring of Dr. Zacate and home medications are provided for him.
