Here’s Reason Why Andrea Brillantes Baby Talk
ANDREA BRILLANTES – Kapamilya star Andrea Brillantes revealed what caused her to oftentimes talk in a childish way.
Anndrew Blythe Daguio Gorostiza, known professionally as Andrea Brillantes, entered showbiz at the age of 7. She started her career as a young artist under the ABS-CBN network.
Andrea appeared in Goin Bulilit, Nandito Ako, Annalia, and Budoy. Her popularity was further propelled when she played one of the lead roles in the afternoon drama ‘Kadenang Ginto’ in 2018.
On May 30, Andrea Brillantes’s video went viral, where she got engaged in a conversation with a store clerk in a baby talk manner. The video was taken during her vacation in Siargao with her friends and basketball player-boyfriend Ricci Rivero.
The viral video of the 19-year-old celebrity gained mixed reactions on social media, wherein some netizens defended her while others chided her.

In an interview with Kapamilya anchor Karen Davila, Andrea Brillantes revealed what caused her to oftentimes talk in a childish manner. She said she unconsciously baby talks when she feels secure and cared for.
“‘Yung pagbe-baby talk ko na palaging nagte-trending, voice ko talaga siya pero hindi siya ‘yung napipili ko subconsciously. Bigla lang siya nagsi-switch kasi nung bata ako kulang ako sa pansin — bunso ako then hindi ako lumaki sa parents ko – baby-baby talaga ako”
“Minsan tsaka ko na lang siya mari-realize ‘pag inaasar na ako ng tao na nagbe-baby talk ako,” Andrea said.
Andrea Brillantes also said that she does not get offended by the hurtful remarks from the online community as she does not have control over it. She said, “bumabalik at bumabalik talaga siya. Nababago ko lang siya kapag may role ako kasi trabaho ‘yon at kailangan,”
“So feeling ko part talaga siya ng childhood ko na Nawala,” she added.
After being asked by Karen whether she thought it was unjust to be labeled as “wild” despite her sacrifices for her family, Andrea spoke about the public’s perception of her. She said despite being an outgoing person, she’s able to manage her priorities.
“Isa ‘yun sa frustrations ko at frustrations ng lahat ng kaibigan ko. Sila mismo ‘yung magsasabi sa akin na, ‘Hindi mo ‘to deserve.’ ‘Yung pagbe-baby talk ko, akala kasi nila nagpapa-cute ako pero ‘yung mga friends ko, alam nilang gano’n lang talaga ako as person.”
“Pero kasi, wala talaga akong magagawa kahit anong pilit ko,” Brillantes added. “Kahit anong gawin ko, wala sa kakayanan kong mabago ‘yung paningin ng ibang tao kung ‘yun ‘yung pipilitin nilang tingnan,” she added.
