The video footage of several pedestrians refusing to take sidewalks and walking along the roadside goes viral and elicits comments online.

The Facebook page “VISOR” has shared video footage of some pedestrians walking along the road and neglecting sidewalks. The video immediately circulates online and garnered various reactions from the netizens.

In the video, it can be seen that the vehicle driver is moving at a moderate speed. The car’s dash camera captures the pedestrians walking along the roadside although the sidewalk is free and available.

The video has been taken near Buendia corner EDSA SB. The hard-headed residents seem to be giving a hard time to motorists passing along the area. It also causes inconvenience along the road.

The video uploaded also urged the government of Makati City to take immediate action and remind the pedestrians to be on the safer side at all times.

“Taken near Buendia corner EDSA SB. Pedestrians not using the sidewalk. I see them every day. Wala naman silang mapapara na jeep or something. Ang tawiran is kita naman going to the other side. Medyo inconvenient and unsafe sa motorists as you can see. What’s so hard about walking on the sidewalk? It’s for the safety of pedestrians and motorists. That’s going straight to Paseo de Roxas if sundan nila yung fenced sidewalk for pedestrians. I hope the Makati government can remind pedestrians to be on the safer side rather than endanger themselves against oncoming motorists.”
