The Facebook page “Gadget Addict” has shared the video footage of MMDA conducting a clearing operation at 8th Avenue in Caloocan to remove road obstructions. The video elicits comments online.

In the video, it can be seen that the sidewalks along the area were filled with scrap metal, junk vehicles, and other obstructions. Illegally parked vehicles have been found beside the road.

The MMDA personnel towed the illegally parked vehicles and cleaned up the mess. The agency also warned the junk shop in the area that the clearing team would return with a special SCOG unit.

Luckily, the local government unit immediately responds and clear the road from any obstruction.

Here is the full post:

“Yesterday the MMDA visited 8th Avenue, in Caloocan – to act on a complaint made through the Presidential Complaints Center (8888)

When they arrived, they found the sidewalks had been filled with scrap metal, junk vehicles, and other obstructions.

They also found many illegally parked trucks, which they towed away, to clear the road.

The junk shop was warned that the team would return with a special SCOG unit, to clear the sidewalks.

In reality, the MMDA would have needed a small army, with forklifts and trucks, to clear those obstructions.

But thankfully, and amazingly, when the team arrived the next day, most of the sidewalks had already been cleared!

I think this is the most significant and fastest action I’ve ever seen someone take after the MMDA hit their area.”
