Senior Citizen Vendor Lost Her Sari-Sari Store Products Worth P23k to Thieves

A senior citizen vendor has expressed her disappointment after losing products worth P23, 000 to heartless thieves.

Nowadays, robbery has been one of the major problems not only in the Philippines but also in various regions all around the world. Some criminals have no choice but to commit crimes due to lack of job opportunities.

The Philippine government is implementing stricter policy but the crimes continue to exist behind the knowledge of the authorities. The rate of criminality continue to increase despite the stricter rules and regulations.

A 66-year-old grandma identified as Adela Penacilla Dato was left confused and depressed after she lost her products to heartless thieves. The suspects stole her products inside her store in San Jose, Camarines Sur.

According to Dato’s sibling Juan Penacilla, his sister got shocked after she found her empty sari-sari store in Zone 3 Kapilihan, Barangay Pugay. The incident probably happened when Lola Adela was sleeping.

Penacilla said that Lola Adela was sleeping when the incident happened, which is good to avoid confrontation. Juan explained that something bad might happen if his sibling caught the suspects.

The suspects stole about P23, 000 worth of goods and another P1, 000 cash. The vendor loaned P20, 000, which was used to buy grocery products for her humble sari-sari store. The vendor is struggling with how she can pay her debt.
