Kit Thompson will no longer continue the series with Herlene Budol

Controversial actor Kit Thompson will be replaced by this actor in the Ang Babae sa Likod ng Face Mask series with former Wowowin host Herlene Budol.

The said project was conceptualized with Puregold, produced by award-winning filmmaker Chris Cahilig, and directed by critically-acclaimed Victor Villanueva. Based on the article in Manila Bulletin, the series will have 13 episodes.

Teasers were already released before the controversial incident that Kit had with newbie actress Ana Jalondoni. Now, Joseph Marco who appeared in Kapamilya teleseryes “Sabel,” “Honesto,” “Pasion de Amor,” and “Wildflower,” will be Kit Thompson’s replacement.

Herlene said that she wants to show her fans that she can be a leading lady as well. She also said that she is proud to have the chance to work with Joseph. “Siyempre, you always want to work with the best, kaya ang saya ko talaga noong nalaman ko na si Joseph Marco ang leading man ko.” she said.

This project also brings excitement to Joseph and he said that he is honored that he was chosen by Puregold to be part of this series. “It’s been an absolute joy working with Herlene, and I think the viewers will be able to feel how much fun we had working together through the screen,” the actor said.

The Ang Babae sa Likod ng Face Mask streams on YouTube Puregold Channel every Saturday, 6 PM, beginning June 11.

Meanwhile, it was also rumored that Kit Thompson was eliminated from the series Flower of Evil, the Filipino adaptation of the South Korean series with the same title, featuring Piolo Pascual and Lovi Poe. Rumor has it that JC de Vera will replace the controversial actor.
