Bobet Vidanes Admits Still Not Talking With Showtime Hosts

Director Bobet Vidanes said that he has not talked with his former artists yet.

BOBET VIDANES – After leaving Its Showtime last 2020, Direk Bobet Vidanes shares that he has not talked yet with his former hosts.

ABS-CBN’s noontime show Its Showtime was created and headed by Direk Bobet Vidanes. Everything about the show, from segments to challenges, was his original ideas but this was just during his time as the head of the show.

In a previous article, he expressed that the real reason why he left is because of the toxic environment that he couldn’t stand anymore. He left for his mental health and peace of mind.

“Kasi po yung pagta-tatrabaho ko sa kabila, hindi na po healthy. Mamamatay po akong maaga. Ang ganda ng programa but it’s not healthy anymore,” he stated. He transferred to TV5, the opposite of what he said before about staying with the network no matter what odds may come.

And now, as managing partner of talent management company Blvck Entertainment, will he be open to managing anyone from his previous program?

The director said that will thoroughly study this. He indicated, “Pag-aaralan kong mabuti iyan. So far, wala naman akong kaaway na artists. Siguro hindi lang kami nagkaintindihan, nagkatampuhan, di nagkapaliwanagan.”

He then furthered that when he left, it was the management who asked him to just leave and not meet his former artists. The management promised to be the one to speak with them about his decision to leave. And up until now, they haven’t talked yet.

When he left, one reason he also shared the reason why didn’t tell them is because of his fear of one thing. He fears that one of them may come with him and he can’t afford this.
