Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, president-elect Bongbong Marcos was surprised that his mother was able to climb up the rostrum. He credited her “adrenaline” as the possible cause why former First Lady Imelda Marcos was able to do so during his proclamation.

According to Marcos Jr., he was on the rostrum talking to the Senate President and the Speaker of the House of Representatives when he saw the former First Lady approaching the rostrum. However, when he turned around after a short while, she was already there with him.

The President-Elect expressed that the former First Lady was being assisted and was supposedly asked to be on her wheelchair but she insisted that she can climb up the rostrum. The 92-year-old former First Lady was all smiles during the proclamation of her son as president.
