Spokesperson of Presumptive President Bongbong Marcos Speaks on Vice Pres. Leni Robredo, Camp

BONGBONG MARCOS – The spokesperson of presumptive president Ferdinand Marcos Jr. thanked Vice President Leni Robredo and her camp for not raising objections on the final canvassing of the Elections 2022 votes.

Currently, the lawmakers are in the process of canvassing the votes for the presidential and vice-presidential elections held last May 9, 2022. Ten candidates vied for the presidency while there are nine (9) vice-presidential candidates.

It was an automated election. Shortly after most of the voting precincts closed last May 9, partial and unofficial results were posted by the Commission on Elections (Comelec). The presidential and vice-presidential frontrunners are taking a huge lead from their closest rivals.

Former Sen. Bongbong Marcos is PH’s presumptive president after taking a 16-million lead against his closest rival, Vice Pres. Leni Robredo. Currently, the joint session of the 18th Congress is canvassing the votes for president and vice president.

The stand of the camp of Vice Pres. Leni Robredo with regards to the canvassing was pronounced by Atty. Romulo Macalintal. Currently, the Vice President is in New York as she recently attended the graduation of her youngest daughter, Jillian Robredo, who studied as a scholar at New York University (NYU).
