VP Leni Robredo shared this post for late husband’s 64th birthday
Outgoing Vice President Leni Robredo expressed happiness that the legacy of her late husband, former Department of the Interior and Local Government Secretary Jesse Robedo, lives on.
The husband of VP Leni died in a plane crash in August 2012. Jesse Robredo served as Mayor of Naga City for many years.
On May 27, VP Leni shared a post on Facebook dedicated to the late Secretary. It could have been the 64th birthday of Jesse Robredo.
The Vice President reposted what she previously posted. “Remembering one great husband and father, whose extraordinariness was in his ordinariness. His life, though short, was purposeful. It’s the kind of life we strive to live, every single day,” she said.
A virtual Mass was held on Friday for his 64th birthday of the late government official. During this, VP Leni Robredo honored her late husband, based on the report from Inquirer.
“Natutuwa po kami that on the 10th year that Jesse has not been with us, his legacy lives on. Not just in our lives, but in the lives of the many people he also touched,” she said.
VP Leni added that this is a blessing for them because all they want is that people will appreciate the life of her husband, and the father of her children.
The Vice President also confirmed that she and her daughters will return to the Philippines soon. They went to New York for her youngest child Jillian’s graduation.
“Pauwi na po kami and we are so looking forward to seeing everyone again,” VP Leni Robredo said.
Meanwhile, the photo of the Vice President Leni taken while she was ironing the toga of her daughter went viral. However, this received negative reactions as well from the online community.
