Former Ateneo de Manila University stars Kiefer Ravena in basketball and phenom Alyssa Valdez in volleyball have been together for six blissful and tough years. In 2017, their relationship was tested. An alleged malicious content about the basketball player emerged online and he ended up apologizing to his family, friends, and Aly who was his girlfriend back then.

The culprit behind the issue was nabbed and amid the issues and controversies of his apparent cheating, his relationship with Valdez remained strong. And now, as their split was finally confirmed, people remembered this moment and also remembered the strength Aly displayed during the height of the issue.

And now, to put an end to the split speculations about these phenoms, Aly finally broke her silence. To recall, the rumors of the split started on Monday and this Thursday, May 26, Valdez asked the public to “avoid making up stories” amid rumors.

In an official statement, it has been clarified that their decision does not involve any third party. It was her decision to keep things private and plead the people to stop making up stories and circulate false rumors.

The releasing of the statement will be the only time they are going to entertain questions regarding this matter.
