PAGASA Says Easterlies & Frontal System Will Affect PH Weather Condition

The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that the easterlies and frontal system will possible rainshowers over some parts of the country.

On Friday (May 6, 2022), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) released the latest weather update in the country. The easterlies and frontal system will affect the country’s weather condition.

PAGASA reported that the Frontal System will be affecting Extreme Northern Luzon while Easterlies affecting the rest of the country. It will bring cloudy weather condition over extreme Northern Luzon, particularly in Batanes and Babuyan Islands.

The Easterlies/localized thunderstorms will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms over entire Visayas, Palawan including Kalayaan Islands and Occidental Mindoro.

Bicol Region, Northern Samar, Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque and Romblon will experience similar weather condition.

Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao may experience rain showers in the afternoon and evening.

The weather agency also warned the public for possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains and during severe thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, the coastal water condition over Northern Luzon as well as the remaining parts of the country will be slight to moderate due to light to moderate wind speed moving in the southeast to northeast direction and eastward direction.

PAGASA also said that no gale warning has been raised and no weather disturbance is expected to enter the Philippine area of responsibility in the next three days.
