PAGASA Says Various Weather Systems Will Affect PH Weather on Wednesday (May 4)

The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that various weather systems would bring rains over some parts of the country.

On Wednesday (May 4, 2022), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The LPA, frontal system and easterlies will affect the country’s weather condition.

PAGASA reported that the Low Pressure Area (LPA) was estimated at 185 kilometers east of General Santos City. The frontal system will be affecting areas within extreme northern Luzon.

The LPA will bring cloudy condition with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over Davao Region. The frontal system will bring similar weather condition over Batanes and Babuyan Islands.

Possible flash floods or landslides are expected due to moderate to at times heavy rains.

The Easterlies/Localized thunderstorms will bring partly cloudy to cloudy condition with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms over the provinces of Mainland Cagayan, Isabela, Quirino, Nueva Vizcaya, Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union, Pangasinan, Abra, Apayao, Kalinga, Mt. Province, Ifugao, Benguet and Aurora.

The entire Visayas, Palawan including Kalayaan Islands and Occidental Mindoro as well as the Metro Manila and the rest of the country will experience similar weather condition.

Possible flash floods or landslides are expected in these areas during severe thunderstorms, according to the weather bureau.

The coastal water condition over extreme northern Luzon will be moderate to rough. The rest of Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao will have slight to moderate surrounding sea conditions.
