Raging Husband Arrested After Shooting Wife’s Live-in Partner Out of Anger
ILOCOS SUR – A raging husband shoots the live-in partner of his beloved wife at Barangay Zone 5 in Bantay, Ilocos Sur.
The 30-year-old victim identified as Michael Angelo Balaroso passed away after suffering two gunshot wounds. The victim was allegedly shot by his live-in partner’s husband identified as Ian Christian Carte.
According to the police investigation, the victim and his live-in partner identified as alias “Karen” were at their boarding house when the suspect arrived. Carte and Balaroso have an exchange of heated arguments during the confrontation.
After a few moments, Carte pulled out his gun and shoots Balaroso a couple of times. The victim suffered from two gunshot wounds, which leads to his untimely death.
“According sa isang witness po natin yun pong babae at saka yung victim its like paramour po, yung jealousy po yung tinitingnan nating motibo,” Bantay Police Station Officer-in-Charge Pmaj. Pol Areola said.
In the CCTV footage, the couple escaped using a motorcycle after the incident and stopped at the arc of Vigan. The two went to the town of Magsingal wherein the suspect has been arrested.

The cops recovered the firearm, which has been allegedly used in the crime.
Areola reported that the suspect also suffered from gunshot wounds on his left hand. Carte has been brought to the hospital for medical treatment. The suspect refused to give a statement regarding the incident.
However, alias Karen admitted that she had an affair with Balaroso. The victim’s family is seeking justice for their loved one.
