John Lloyd Cruz did campaigning in Pasig City
A-list actor John Lloyd Cruz was spotted at Pasig City for the house-to-house campaign of this politician.
Having celebrities during campaign events has been a staple scenario in the 2022 elections. Showbiz personalities and social media influencers have intensified the campaigning for this year’s election.
John Lloyd has also shown his support for a certain candidate, Simon Romulo who is running for councilor in Pasig City. Based on the article in Pilipino Star Ngayon, the A-list actor has recently joined the house-to-house campaign that Romulo did.
The aspiring councilor is the grandson of former Senator Alberto Romulo and the nephew of Pasig City Congressman Roman Romulo. It was also said that John Lloyd gamely ate with the residents and had conversations with them.
“As in game na game ang actor na nakipag-chikahan at nakipagkainan sa ilang taga-Pasig na hindi raw gumamit ng serving spoon ayon sa ilang nakasalo nina Simon at John Lloyd,” entertainment columnist Salve Asis shared.
As of this writing, John Lloyd Cruz has not expressed his support yet for any presidential candidate unlike his fellow A-list actor Piolo Pascual who showed his support for the presidential candidacy of Vice President Leni Robredo.
Meanwhile, John Lloyd has no plan yet of signing a network contract with GMA-7, even though his sitcom Happy ToGetHer is currently airing on the Kapuso network. The actor and the whole cast are set to shoot an episode in Boracay.
The sitcom featuring John Lloyd Cruz has been getting warm support from the viewers. From its first episode until the recent one, the sitcom is consistently getting high ratings. In a previous interview, the A-list actor shared that he will be doing another project with GMA. However, he and the network have not divulged yet the details.
