Marian Rivera had this unforgettable experience during her “Dyesebel” days
Kapuso Primetime Queen Marian Rivera had the chance to play the iconic character Dyesebel in a series but she almost had a drastic experience while doing a scene.
Dyesebel is the Philippines’s version of The Little Mermaid. Since, the scenes are mostly done in water, Marian had to shoot scenes in the sea. There was an instance that she thought she would die as an unexpected thing happened.
In the said series, it was the second time that Marian Rivera and Dingdong Dantes worked together. The first teleserye they did was Marimar. At that time, the actress shared that her husband was already starting to court her but she was not focusing on that.
Marian recalled that there was an instance that most of her scenes were done in the water. “Mula umaga hanggang madaling-araw nakalubog ako sa tubig for Dyesebel. Wala akong reklamo nun. Kahit nanginginig ako, kailangan naming tapusin ang eksena namin,” she shared in a recent vlog of Celeste Tuviera.
Marian shared that since her tail was made of silicon, the production team was placing something inside it to make it heavy so that she can go under the water.
“So, nilalagyan nila ako nun. So, merong isang nag-aalalay sa akin. Rolling, ibabagsak nila ako sa tubig, isang camera lang,” she shared. The one assisting her would immediately go away from her in order for the scene to be done.
Marian was alone in the sea when unexpected waves came. “Inalon ako ng dalawa, tatlong beses. Feeling ko katapusan ko na. Feeling ko madededo na ako,” she revealed.
The actress said that she was trying to take off her tail not minding anymore that she was just wearing her underwear just to make herself safe. With that, Dingdong got angry and saved her along with other divers.
“’Tapos kinuha niya ako na para akong bata. Nilagay niya ako sa boat yata yun. Niyakap niya ako. Sabi niya, parang, ‘Are you okay?’ So, umiiyak na ako. Akala ko mamamatay na talaga ako,” Marian shared.
She also shared that Dingdong Dantes reprimanded the crew and with the concern that the actor showed for her, Marian Rivera said that she realized that her leading man is indeed “mabait.”
