Sharon Cuneta Apologizes Over Reaction When Panelo Used Her Song

Megastar Sharon Cuneta expressed apology because of her reaction when Panelo sang her song “Sana’y Wala Nang Wakas”.

SHARON CUNETA – Veteran singer and Megastar Sharon Cuneta posts her apology over the “Sana’y Wala Nang Wakas” controversy.

In a previous article, Sharon Cuneta has this controversial reaction when senatorial candidate and former presidential legal counsel Sal Panelo sang her iconic song “Sana’y Wala Nang Wakas”. He sang this during a campaign event and the Megastar has that reaction because it’s the campaign period and the rivalry between the two parties is pretty intense.

Her husband Kiko Pangilinan is running with Leni Robredo as president while Panelo is under a different party. And for her, the use of her song in a campaign event in this time of campaign feels inappropriate. Panelo, on the other hand, was pained after knowing how the Megastar reacted. As it turned out, the song has a sentimental value to him because it reminded him of his son.

And now, after some time of deeply thinking things weigh which should be done better, the Megastar took a step higher by humbling herself. She apologized for her reaction and once again, explained why she reacted that way.

Her takeaway from what happened is that she should have just made herself clearer and not reacted immediately to something that triggers her. She admitted her mistake because it was done when she was highly emotional. She expressed that she should have just reacted in a more respectful manner. Also, she didn’t know the personal value that her song holds for Panelo.

It was never her intention to be selfish when it comes to her songs only that things are pretty sensitive at current times because the election is approaching. She explained, “Iba ang dating sa akin nung inawit ng politiko na hindi namin kapartido.”
