Ogie Alcasid does not mind being in the shadow of his wife
Singer-songwriter Ogie Alcasid has this reaction to people who are calling him “husband of Regine Velasquez.
Ogie is one of the OPM icons because of the songs he created and released that became theme songs of many people’s lives. Behind the success that he achieved in the music industry, Ogie also established his name as a comedian and host.
However, despite his achievements, there were still those who choose to see him as the husband of the Asia’s Songbird. In a recent Twitter post of Ogie Alcasid, he said that he saw a tweet calling him “husband of Regine” but this does not affect him at all.
For the OPM icon, there is no issue with this because he is proud to be called the husband of a wonderful woman. “I saw a tweet before that na kawawa ako kasi i was reduced to “husband of regine”. Hey my bro, just want to let you to know that i take pride of being husband to the kindest and most loving human one can ever meet. Peace,” the singer-songwriter said.
Regine commented on this. “I love you morest baba (red heart emoji),” the Songbird quipped and Ogie replied with a greater love as he said, “I love you morestest.”
Several fans of the couple slammed the said ‘husband of Regine” tweet. One netizen said that Ogie has already established his name in the entertainment industry even before he got married to Regine.
“Wait.. ogie was already the ‘ogie alcasid’ ng showbiz bago pa man ang kasal. Singer, songwriter, comedian, actor, what are they talking abooout. Both ogie and reg may pangalan na sa showbiz bago pa man sila nagpakasal lol,” Twitter user MeasinmeMe said.
There were also those who said that the one who tweeted that was just envious of the success that Ogie has achieved while there were those who expressed their love for the family of Ogie Alcasid and Regine Velasquez.
