PAGASA Says Easterlies to Affect PH Weather Over the Weekend
The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that the easterlies will bring cloudy condition with isolated rains over parts of the country.
On Saturday (March 19, 2022), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The easterlies will continue to affect the country’s weather condition.
PAGASA reported that the easterlies will be affecting Southern Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao. The northeasterly surface windflow will bring cloudy weather condition with light rains over Batanes and Babuyan Islands.
The Easterlies/ localized thunderstorms will bring partly cloudy to cloudy condition with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms over Visayas, Palawan including Kalayaan Islands, and Occidental Mindoro.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country will also experience similar weather condition.
The weather system is also expected to trigger possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms in the affected areas. The residents in the affected areas were advised to take precautionary measures.

The weather agency said that the entire country will have a hot and humid weather condition with chances of possible rains in the afternoon.
Meanwhile, the coastal water condition over Northern and Central Luzon as well as the remaining parts of the country will be slight to moderate.
