Kim Chiu has become a trending topic several times and she can’t get used to it
It’s Showtime host Kim Chiu admitted that every time her name becomes a trending topic on social media, she becomes nervous.
In the age of social media, people on the internet, or the netizens, can easily access the latest happenings in the lives of celebrities and prominent people in society. However, becoming a trending topic is not always a good thing.
Kim topped the Twitter trends several times already. Most of the time, if not always, her name trends on social media because of controversial things she did or said.
Just recently, she became a trending topic online but it was because she was featured by K-Pop star Itzy’s Yuna. “I’m very happy as a K-pop fan, for the longest time idol ko talaga BlackPink, wow inisa-isa? Twice at Itzy! October ko pa iyon ginaya sa TikTok, tapos kahapon nga nag-dance duet kami, sa dami dami, akin pa yung na-duet. Grabe talaga!” she said, based on the article in The Philippine Star.
She admitted that there is nervousness every time her name becomes a trending topic. “Last time na nag-trend ako, grabe yung naabot kong ano, so parang lagi akong kinakabahan pagka nasa trending topic ako, pero this time, masaya naman ako sa naging outcome,” the Chinita Princess said.
To recall, she trended on social media because of her statement on ABS-CBN’s franchise in which she said the now-famous phrase “bawal lumabas”. Fortunately, she was able to bounce back from that chapter.
Kim Chiu turned that incident into a good thing for her. She released the “Bawal Lumabas” merchandise and even recorded a song with the same title. The former Pinoy Big Brother housemate was able to fulfill her wish as well to sing on the Wish 107.5 Bus.
