Vice Pres. Leni Robredo Speaks on Plans If She Wins President in May 2022 Election
LENI ROBREDO – The Vice President and presidential candidate vowed that she will push for housing for the poor Filipinos if she wins president.
In the upcoming May 2022 Elections, there are 10 candidates for president as per the Commission on Elections (Comelec). One of them and the only female candidate is Vice Pres. Leni Robredo who is running as an independent candidate in the upcoming poll.
Vice Pres. Robredo’s running-mate in the upcoming election is Senator Kiko Pangilinan, the vice-presidential bet of Liberal Party. Their tandem is called “Leni-Kiko” and “TRoPa”.
Recently, Vice Pres. Leni Robredo and Sen. Kiko Pangilinan visited Muntinlupa City. Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, the Vice President spoke about the relocation of some people in the city.
Vice Pres. Leni Robredo vowed to push for housing for the poor Filipinos if she wins president in the upcoming election. Based on the report, she promised that she will exert all efforts for the passing of the on-site in-city or near-city relocation.
“Makakaasa po kayo, sisikapin po nating walang Pilipinong mapag-iiwanan, na lahat may muuwiang maayos na tahanan at maayos na kabuhayan,” the Vice President said.
Vice Pres. Robredo also expressed an assurance to the people that regardless of the situation of the Filipinos or where they are coming from in life, the government will listen to their sentiments. A lot of residents in Muntinlupa came to the city’s Sports Complex to express their support to the presidential bid of the Vice President.
Aside from the housing projects, Vice Pres. Leni Robredo also wants to fight corruption in the government if she wins for president. She is vocal about her desire to make the government deals known to the public and to establish a system that prevents corruption in the government.
The Vice President believes that if corruption is not happening, the funds would really be used for the people’s benefit. Her campaign tagline is “Gobyernong Tapat, Angat Buhay Lahat”.
