Billy Crawford debunks rumored end of LOL
Singer-host Billy Crawford has spoken about Lunch Out Loud following rumors saying that this noontime show on TV5 is about to end.
Rumors surfaced just recently that LOL is not keeping up with the ratings game. The show featuring Billy and other stars formerly seen on ABS-CBN such as Alex Gonzaga, K Brosas, and Bayani Agbayani, started airing in 2020.
In line with the rumors against the noontime show, Brightlight Productions CEO Albee Benitez released a statement denying this. He said that the show is receiving positive feedback from the viewers that is proven by the ratings that it gets.
The businessman-politician also assured the viewers that LOL will continue to provide, fun and exciting prizes for the viewers.
Billy Crawford also shared this statement of their show’s producer and with intriguing caption addressed to the “Marites.” In a recent vlog of comedian-talent manager Ogie Diaz, based on the article in Bandera, he shared that he was able to talk to Billy about this.
“Sinabi rin niyang ‘hindi totoo ‘yan at walang sinasabi sa amin. Actually, meron kaming fresh episodes na tineyp at magte-taping pa ulit kami.’ Nasa France lang daw siya (Billy) ngayon,’” Ogie shared.
The comedian-talent manager shared prior to this that Atty. Joji Alonso, the legal consultant of Albee Benitez, who is running for Mayor in Bacolod City, called him to clarify the issue.
“Sabi niya, ‘huy hindi naman totoo ‘yan. Tuluy-tuloy ang taping at malabo ‘yan dahil kahit si Congressman Albee Benitez ay busy sa kanyang kandidatura sa Bacolod ay definitely hindi raw niya igi-give up ang LOL, so, tuluy-tuloy pa rin ang trabaho,” Ogie shared the statement of Benitez’s lawyer.
The comedian-talent also asked Billy Crawford’s co-host Wacky Kiray about the rumors and the latter said that most likely this is just speculation because they are having new segments in the show.
