3 People Injured During Drag Race in Cagayan after a Car Lost Control
Three (3) people suffer injuries while watching a drag race in Cagayan after one of the cars lost control and rammed spectators.
According to the report, a drag race in Baggao, Cagayan devolved into a disaster after a driver lost control and crashed into the audience. With the approval of the LGU, the Baggao Lancer Elite Club hosted an exposition display in Barangay San Jose as part of their anniversary celebration, which was attended by invited lawmakers and even the mayor.
The exhibition show was allegedly prompted when the two drivers challenged each other to a race, according to Mayor Joan Dunuan. It was supposedly outside of the planned activities, and the organizer, Jay Ar Padilla, was unaware of it.

Furthermore, according to Dunuan, the two raced outside the runway in preparation for the demonstration game. According to Dunuan, the three were left scarred after scaling the fence when they spotted a car approaching them, although the footage reveals that two automobiles crashed in the event.
Furthermore, after being hit by a drag-racing car, a parked vehicle broke the bumper. In this regard, Padilla, the club’s president, stated that the event was not a drag race, but rather a friendly display of their cars.
Padilla said that the drag race was canceled because no one showed up for their visitors from Tuguegarao and Gattaran, and the PNP refused to allow them to conduct the event. He said that they were unable to manage the situation and that they had no idea what the two drag races involving their member Renato Soriano in a Lancer and an out-of-the-organization KC Lazaro in a Toyota Corolla were about.
They were at the starting line on Don Domingo Street for the automobile display when Soriano and Lazaro ran from the line to their finish line, according to him. At the event, the Lancer’s driver crashed with some spectators.
In this regard, Padilla stated that Mayor Dunuan, his staff, and even the PNP will be sanctioned for their roles in the event. Mayor Joan Dunuan issued a summons to the two drivers participating in the drag race that resulted in the collision so that the situation may be investigated further.
