Cops Arrest Online Teacher and Tailor During Buy-Bust Operation
An online teacher and a tailor have been arrested during a buy-bust operation in Barangay Santolan, Pasig City.
The Barangay Security Force of Brgy, Santolan, Pasig City launched a checkpoint along Pasco Avenue in Barangay Santolan, Pasig City and apprehended two drug peddlers. The suspects were an online call center online teacher and a tailor.
The cops recovered five sachets of suspected illegal drugs from the online call center online teacher identified as alias Roy who is a resident of San Fernando, Pampanga but currently lives in Rosario, Pasig.
The 46-year-old suspect together with his live-in partner Maria Ritchie Wico Manabat alias Candy possesses heat sealed transparent plastic sachet containing white crystalline substance. The drugs have estimated total weight of more or less 4.8 grams amounting P32, 640.
Pcol Roman C. Arugay, Pasig CPS, Kagawad Bobby Bobis and media representative Angie Santos were present during the markings and inventory of seized evidence. The arrested suspects and the evidence were brought to the office.
The couple was referred to EPD-Forensic Unit in Mandaluyong City for drug test and laboratory examination. The drug suspects will face charges for Violation of Section 5 and 11 Art. II of R.A. 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
“I will make sure that Pasig CPS will continue to intensify our campaign against illegal drug peddlers and ensure to put them all behind bars,” Arugay said.
Alias Roy is a Masscom graduate while his 45-year-old partner is working as a sewer and High School Undergraduate.
The authorities were still investigating to find out if the suspects were connected to a drug group in the city. Meanwhile, the drug peddlers refused to give a statement.
