Holdup Suspect Responsible for Victimizing Taxi Driver in Quezon City Arrested by Police Authorities

QUEZON CITY – The police authorities have arrested a holdup suspect for victimizing a poor taxi driver in Quezon City.

Nowadays, robbery has been one of the major problems not only in the Philippines but also in various regions all around the world. Some criminals have no choice but to commit crimes due to lack of job opportunities.

The Philippine government is implementing stricter policy but the crimes continue to exist behind the knowledge of the authorities. The rate of criminality continue to increase despite the stricter rules and regulations.

Holdup Suspect

Recently, QCPD Masambong Police Station 2 arrested a holdup suspect in Quezon City during an intelligence follow up operation. The cops reviewed the CCTV footage and interviewed the vendors and witnesses in the area.

The suspect was allegedly involved in a holdup incident victimizing a poor taxi driver outside the entrance of a condominium in Barangay Katipunan, Quezon City. The vendors and some residents witnessed the incident.

The holdupper followed and pointed a knife towards the taxi driver. The victim suffered bruises after resisting and trying to escape from the suspect. The commotion caught the attention of other motorists and the suspect immediately escaped.

The cops roamed around the area for two days after receiving reports that the suspect regularly performs its illegal activity in the area. Eventually, the police officers spotted the suspect and quickly arrested him.

The taxi driver confirmed the suspect’s identity. The policemen also recovered the weapon used by the suspect to perform the crime.

Currently, the holdupper is detained at the Masambong Police Station 2 in QCPD and facing attempted robbery hold-up and attempted homicide.
