Matty Juniosa Refuse Offer of BBM Camp to Sing in Their Campaign Rally
Idol singer Matty Juniosa allegedly refused the offer of Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr (BBM) camp to sing in their campaign rally.
The Idol singer turned to Twitter to recount how he was supposedly approached by the campaign of former senator and presidential candidate Bongbong Marcos to perform for the campaign in his hometown. He stated that he could not accept the offer since he is unable to do so.

He went on to say that despite being a broke singer, he couldn’t perform what was asked of him. Juniosa prayed that Vice President and presidential candidate Leni Robredo would win so that she could help out.
“Today I declined an offer to sing for a BBM campaign in my city. Might be a broke singer but I just can’t do it,” he wrote.
He then added, “Lord, please #LetLeniLead and give me some kind of work. I’m broke but the only thing I’m desperate for is a win for Leni.”
Matty was formerly a guest on Boy Abunda’s Tonight Show. Many netizens were so moved by his post that they sought to help in their own small manner.
Meanwhile, talent manager and entertainment columnist Ogie Diaz clarified the notion that celebrities are paid millions for their appearances at political events. According to an Inquirer article, the talent fee for celebrities participating in campaign sorties ranged from P1 million to P100 million.
On his Facebook page, Ogie Diaz reposted the news item, although he refuted the charge against celebrities. This is not true, according to the comedian-talent manager, who is equally outspoken in his support for his presidential candidate.
According to him, there are celebrities who advocate for politicians who are relatives or family members for free. Some celebrities, according to the talent manager, will spend their own money to help the candidate they support.
