PAGASA Says Frontal System to Affect PH Weather Condition
The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that a frontal system will bring scattered rain showers and cloudy skies over some parts of the country.
On Monday (January 31, 2022), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The frontal system will affect the country’s weather system.
PAGASA reported that the frontal system will be affecting the eastern section of Central Luzon.
Cloudy weather condition with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms are expected over the provinces of Batanes, Cagayan, Isabela, Quirino, Nueva Vizcaya Bicol Region and Aurora.
Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms over Northern Samar, Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon.
Northeast monsoon will bring similar weather condition over Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union, Pangasinan, Apayao, Kalinga, Ifugao, Mt. Province, Benguet, Abra and Mindanao. As well as Occidental Mindoro, and Palawan including Kalayaan Islands.
Metro Manila and the rest Luzon as well as the remaining parts of the country would experience the same weather condition.
The weather agency also advised the residents in the affected areas to take precautionary measures for possible flash floods or landslides may result from severe thunderstorms.
Meanwhile, the seaboards of Northern and Central Luzon may experience waves reaching up to 4 meters high while the remaining parts of the country would have slight to moderate surrounding sea conditions.
“Dahil po sa northeast monsoon o amihan ay mayroon po tayong nakataas na gale warning sa mga dagat-baybayin po ‘yan ng Ilocos Norte, Batanes, Cagayan, at Isabela kung saan hindi nga po muna natin pinapayagang pumalaot ‘yung mga kababayan po nating mangingisda pati na rin ‘yung may maliliit na sasakyang pandagat,” Pagasa weather specialist Grace Castañeda said.
