PAGASA Releases Latest Weather Update for Wednesday (February 2)
The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that the trough of a low-pressure area and shear line would bring cloudy to rainy condition over some parts of the country.
On Wednesday (February 2, 2022), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The low-pressure area and shear line would affect the country’s weather condition.
PAGASA reported that the trough of Low Pressure Area will be affecting the southeastern section of Mindanao while the localized thunderstorms would affect the rest of Mindanao.
The LPA’s trough will bring cloudy weather condition with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over Bicol Region, MIMAROPA, Aklan, northern Samar, eastern Samar, Samar, Davao Region, Surigao del Sur, Sarangani, Basilan, Sulu, and Tawi-Tawi.
The shear line will also bring similar weather condition over Samar Provinces, Occidental Mindoro and Aklan.
The localized thunderstorms will bring partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms over Palawan including Kalayaan Group of Islands as well as the Rest of Mindanao.
Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon, rest of Visayas and Mindanao will experience the same weather condition.
The weather agency also warned the public for possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains and during severe thunderstorms.
Meanwhile, the coastal water condition over Luzon and the eastern sections of Visayas and Mindanao will be moderate to rough. The remaining parts of the country will have slight to moderate surrounding sea conditions.
