However, the actress admitted that she enjoys mother roles now. “The few times that I have been privileged enough to step on set playing mother roles, ano talaga, best acting workshop for me ang motherhood. Because it has really deepened my understanding of motherhood, of love, and the journey,” she said.

Right now, Iza said that she is still learning and growing as an individual and as a mother. For her, it is a continuous discovery. She also said that the Iza before is not the same person as now, as she could give more love and do more sacrifices for her child and her family.

Iza added that she is open now, and very willing to learn more. “I want to be better for Deia and for myself, of course,” she stressed.

The actress also shared the biggest challenges she had to face as a mother. One of these was not being able to breastfeed. This is something that she really have to work on, especially during the early days.

Now I’m very, very okay with it. Tanggap ko na naman siya. Hindi na kasing sakit nung early days. Other frustrating parts sometimes yung hindi nasusunod yung gusto mo. That’s motherhood. You’re not in control. Control is an illusion,” she said.
